Welcome to Hope and Renewal Reiki Treatment! My name is Eva and I am a fully qualified reiki practitioner and member of The Reiki Guild. Reiki is the transference of life force energy from the hands of the practitioner to the patient. This life force energy brings the body's energy system and the seven chakras into balance and harmony. The seven chakras are spinning vortexes of energy that correspond to different parts of the body and they can sometimes become unbalanced. Bringing the chakras into alignment can have many benefits for our wellbeing. Reiki can help with managing stress and promote relaxation leading to a greater feeling of inner peace. Reiki can help with feeling more calm, centred and grounded.
I became a Reiki Practitioner because I have always had a passion for helping people. It is important to me that everyone who has reiki with me leaves the session feeling like I have given them the time they need and they feel taken care of. I also believe in helping people take care of their own wellbeing by giving them lots of information about how they can look after their chakras.

Lots of people ask what is Reiki? It is something that a lot of people have heard of but they may not necessarily know a lot about!
Reiki originated from Japan and it was founded by Dr Mikao Usui in 1922. Reiki is the transference of life force energy from the practitioner to the patient. The practitioner who is already attuned to the energy places their hands in certain positions on the patients body transferring this life force energy which balances the body's energy system and chakras. Life force energy is a high vibrational energy that helps bring the body into better alignment and balance. Life force energy has been known about from thousands of years and dates all the way back to ancient Vedic texts in India, it was known as 'prana', a vital life force energy that sustains the body. When we are stressed or run down we can become depleted in this life force energy. Reiki restores this balance which is beneficial for general wellbeing.
In a reiki session the patient lies down on a treatment couch fully clothed and the practitioner transfers the life force energy to them, by placing their hands in certain positions on the patients body moving from the crown of the head, moving slowly throughout the body and chakra system down to their feet. Life force energy is helpful for the body's general wellbeing, having more of it can help to support emotional wellness, stress reduction, feeling more centred, calm, bringing about more of a feeling of inner peace and promoting mindfulness. Reiki restores balance to what are known as chakras.
What are chakras?
Chakras are energy centres that can be described as spinning balls of energy that correspond to different parts of the body and there are seven of the major chakras. These chakras can become unbalanced sometimes and reiki restores them to a state of equilibrium.
Why have Reiki?
Reiki can help with relaxation and stress reduction and many people find that they feel refreshed and rejuvenated afterwards, so for these reasons it is a fantastic way to practice self care. Many people also find that knowing what chakras are balanced/unbalanced can promote self awareness, potentially leading to a greater understanding of themselves.
Sometimes people can feel a bit nervous about the idea of having reiki for the first time as they may be new to reiki and chakras.
